All GWCSA members are required to help with produce distribution by signing up for one or more work shifts.  You do not have to sign up for a shift on the same day as your pick-up.

Your membership is not final until you sign up for a work shift. We are using SignUp to organize work shifts this season. It's easy! You will NOT need to register an account or keep a password on SignUp. You can return to this link any time to see your selected shift(s) or to swap or change your shift!  (Here's how it works in 3 easy steps:

  1. Go to SignUp (once workshifts have opened for the season, you will receive an invitation)
  2. Review the options listed and choose the shifts you like. Either ONE Wednesday distribution, ONE Saturday distribution, or THREE soup kitchen driver shifts.
  3. Use the same primary email you used to register for the CSA.
  • Please feel free to work more shifts!  Especially, if you have multiple house-mates enjoying your share. We are 100% volunteer run operation and appreciate your helping hands.

Saturday Work Shifts

There are three options for Saturday work shifts.

Saturday Distribution Shifts

  • Where: GWCSA Stand, next to the dog run in McCarren Park
  • When: 8:15am – 12:15pm
  • What: Help unload produce from the Garden of Eve truck before distribution starts. Throughout the distribution, man the produce bins and check members off lists. At the end of distribution, help load left over produce into the car that will take it to the soup kitchen.
  • How many times? One

Saturday Farmstand Shifts

  • Where: Garden of Eve Stand at McCarren Park Farmers Market
  • When: 7:30am – 10:30am, or 10:30am – 1:30pm
  • What: The main mission of the GWCSA is to support local family farms. We fulfill that mission in part by lending a helping hand at the Garden of Eve stand in the McCarren Park Farmers Market. Work shift members stock vegetables and help customers. Our assistance allows the stand to function with fewer employees, keeping costs low for our farmer. Because shifts at the market tend to be more intense than distribution, we have split market shifts into 2 hour allotments.

Wednesday Distribution Shifts
